Jill McKay is available for demonstrations, critiques, and as a speaker in Watercolours, Pastels, Acrylics, Gouache, Chinese Brush Art or Pen and Ink to a variety of groups. Jill is well known in the South of England's art circles and teaches from Berkshire to Cornwall. Coming up this year are demonstrations at Poole, Kingston Lacy, Ringwood, Broadstone, Christchurch Art Societies, Ilminster Colourists - Somerset, and HobbyCraft Longham. Demonstrations at Denman W.I. College and Travelling tutor for the Women's Institute

Jill McKay regularly teaches at Denman College in various media throughout the year. Her student class feed back always receiving accolades. She also travels across the U.K and Channel Isles for student tuition, demonstrations, critiques, and as a speaker in Watercolours, Pastels, Acrylics, Gouache, Chinese Brush Art or Pen and Ink. Bookings are now being taken for 2008/9.

Paintings for Sale

A number of original paintings available for purchase are on display at the Art Trail Centre which vary in size, subject and price. New paintings are regularly included. Acrylic, Gouache, Chinese Brush Painting and Pen & Wash are other mediums to have that favourite picture painted by Jill. All work can also be ordered in the form of prints or on canvas in various sizes. See commissions below for more details.

Commissions

In addition, Jill also receives commissions covering a multitude of subjects. These are personally designed with each individual client according to their chosen colour scheme and ideas. She can be booked for a consultation visit which may be redeemed against the final commission order. Initial consultation visits may include the taking of photographs and sketches to assist in future plans. The wide subject range includes family houses, favourite landscapes, personal nude studies and abstracts to name but a few. These make lovely presents for yourself, someone special or just as an enhancement to your room giving it that special personal ambience.

Hobby Craft in Ferndown

You can arrange to enrol on workshops or courses at all Jill’s demonstrations, and also learn more about future events that may be of interest. Why not visit Jill at HobbyCraft, Longham, Ferndown and enjoy watching many different exciting pictures appear before you! Great for seeing how easy or effective Watercolour painting can be, and a good opportunity to see Jill’s style.

Watercolour Techniques
These demonstrations show visitors new techniques every few minutes throughout the day. Jill also provides demonstrations in Pastels, Acrylic, Gouache, Chinese Brush Painting, Pen and Ink, Mixed Media and Drawing.

Visit HobbyCraft at Longham, Ferndown for Jill’s demonstrations, other activities, new ideas and inspirations. Their website gives directions on how to get to your local Hobby Craft superstore, provides a monthly list of regular art and craft events happening in store and offers 100's of project ideas and useful craft techniques. Details will also be found on the latest best buys, special offers and competitions, and you can register for their free e-newsletter called 'Crafty News'.

St Petersburg Semi-Soft Paints
Regular workshops and demonstrations for these and many other mediums are held at the Art Trail Centre, please revisit our site for future dates. St Petersburg Watercolour painting demonstrations will include the many colours within the extensive range and last an hour. These demonstrations usually precede workshops in these paints which students may wish to enrol in, when they will have the opportunity to try the paints out for themselves under tuition and guidance. For those who are interested, orders for the paints may be taken at the demonstrations and the workshops.
