Morning, afternoon and evening classes are held throughout the year in the form of Workshops and Courses in many subjects and for any standard of ability.

Various other painting events occur each Season, including outdoor classes during the Summer, Holidays and Weekend lessons.

Our Academy provides high quality art tuition to adults of all standards and abilities in various forms.

Saturday 27^th 10am - 4.30pm	Paint a Masterpiece in Oils Step by Step we will build a simple ‘en plein air’ style oil painting using the Impressionists as our model. A lovely way to apply paint, you will be shown how to load the brush effectively and tap it on the canvas to create a loose and lively landscape. Saturday 24^th 9.30am - 1.30 pm	Pastels for Pleasure Ref p1009 Masses of colours to choose from, come and delve into the colour boxes to produce your own pastel ‘painting.’ You will be shown how to use these exciting drawing sticks and we will be using a special surface that you can re-create at home. Students are invited to bring their own colourful landscape to refer to if they wish but material will also be available from the studio. A relaxing morning will be spent applying detailed stonework to a lovely bridge and cottage in pencil, strengthening some areas with penwork and adding delicate fresh washes to brighten up the foreground flowers in this romantic scene. 3rd - 10th July 2010	ONE WEEK Painting HolidayS - Dordogne France 2010 Perigord Noir et Blanc regions Artists - yes any medium - This two location holiday will take you to different parts of the Dordogne, Perigord Noir et Blanc, quickly settling in to enjoying the local scenes your painting or drawing equipment will be very active. Previous artist who have joined us will really love this double location painting holiday as they are also new venues. A typical country hotel in large grounds and an enchanting Chateau with accommodation.. Full tuition with lots of tips are available, depending on your need and skill level, with plenty of demonstrations to help you maximise your painting but only if needed. This holiday is suitable for all levels of artist We will be visiting some of the best places to paint and there will be time for the tourist bit too! We will collect you from your airport, railway station or if you wish to drive down we will provide you with enough information to find us easily after your booking is finalised. Own en-suite room and non painting partners are very welcome. When sharing a room they receive generous discounts. This also applies to rooms shared by artists. All our accommodation have swimming pools. Our holidays normally fill fairly quickly and we aim to avoid disappointment so please book early. Various options available. A great day painting in any media with instruction and tuition. We have arranged a special day for our students – A full day with the beautiful birds of prey at a local sanctuary. We will have our own chosen bird of prey to paint. The class will be smaller than normal so do not delay in booking this lovely event. This is an opportunity for artists and students to combine a special day out with the chance to sketch and /or paint a stunning bird of prey who will calmly model for us during the day. Beginning with a short demonstration, students will be guided and tutored in this extraordinary workshop. Additional opportunities will allow for photographs to be taken at certain times, including during a flying demonstration at noon.
